I photograph a lot of weddings — around 35 a year to be exact — and that means that I see a lot of wedding venues. And let me tell you something, my couples have great taste! Sometimes they find places that I didn’t even know existed!
So, I thought I would make a blog series based on some of those venues so that other people in the wedding planning stages can get the insider info on where to host their biggest party <3
First up is the Arts Park in New Castle, Indiana. If you are looking for a venue that has a lot of space and a lot of versatility than this one is for you. The landscaping and light down in the sunken gardens are simply beautiful and will make your wedding look stunning!
I photographed Serena and Chris here this summer and even though it was the hottest day of the year — heat indexes topping out at 104 — we stayed relatively cool because the venue is shaded and sits below the heat of the city.
Here is an exerpt from the Arts Park and Pavilion website:
The Arts Park and Pavilion: Rental of the Park and Pavilion includes the Gazebo, the concession/kitchen area and two restrooms. The entire area is rented for the day (8am to midnight). The Pavilion is a 195′ X 150′ facility. There are electrical outlets located throughout the Pavilion and a large stage. The Park is a beautiful, natural landscape of trees, flowers, a pond and paths and benches throughout. Parking is available in the large public lot south of the Park and along 15th street at the west edge of the Park. Both parking areas have access to the Park.
