WHAT TO EXPECT
I bring the same relaxed documentary feel into every newborn session. Being a new parent is hard enough as it is without having to worry about finding the perfect outfits and packing up your babe (and all of their accessories) to go to a studio. My style of photography is all about documenting your family as it is—chaos and cuddles and all. Sessions can last anywhere between 30min to 2 hours. We go by whatever your babe needs.
WHY MAKE HOUSE CALLS
I photographed newborns in my studio for several years and while I enjoyed it, doing in home newborn photography sessions was always my favorite. Each photo’s backdrop is a snapshot of time and so many memories are wrapped up in our homes. That nursery won’t be there forever—soon enough you’ll be trading in a crib for a big kid bed. I try to photograph not just your new babe, but also the unique time this is in your life.
WHAT IF MY BABY CRIES
Babies cry. Shoot, adults cry too, we’re just better at hiding it :P That’s all part of life and nothing to be nervous about. Newborn sessions are never rushed and it is always okay if we need to break to change a diaper or nurse. These sessions are all about capturing life with a new baby and all the realities that entails.
DO YOU DO NURSING PHOTOS
Nursing is such a special part of parenthood and I am absolutely comfortable photographing that bond for you. Nursing photos are not shared online so you can be as covered or uncovered as you are comfortable with.
CAN I GET A PHOTO WITH MY DOGS
Yes! I absolutely LOVE pets and I will always try to get a family photo with pets in it if possible <3
WHAT DOES A FULL SESSION LOOK LIKE?
