I love it when I meet up with couples who are down for all of my weird suggestions! I photograph wedding and engagement session in Fort Wayne often and the downtown area is one of my favorite places to explore. There is always something different to find in all of the allys and side streets. In this case it was the parking garage that I parked in when I arrived. The sky that day was bright and clear and reflected off of the building windows in such a beautiful way. I knew I wanted to take Samantha and Erykah up there for some photos! Luckily for me, when I told them this, they didn’t bat an eye at engagement photos in a parking garage, haha.
Chelsea and Anthony's Summer Wedding in Zionsville, Indiana
Small weddings are my jam and one good thing to come out of 2020 was I got to photograph a whole lot more of them than usual! Chelsea and Anthony’s Zionsville Wedding was supposed to be a lot bigger but thanks to Covid, they decided to move their party to next year and stick with a simple ceremony on their original wedding date.
It was a beautiful day, hot and a bit windy, but that didn’t stop these two and their friends from making the wedding vows happen! The Bride and the girls got ready at The Brick Street Inn in Zionsville and it was the perfect place to get ready for their Lincoln Park Wedding Ceremony in Zionsville, Indiana.
Be Unapologetically You for Your Engagement Photo Session
Brave the cold…
Thea and Jordan are longtime clients of mine and helped me out with another project last year but going through their photos, I couldn’t help but be so happy that they are always unapologetically themselves. Their project was to have a session that truly represented who they are and they nailed it. Although, we did make a lot of jokes about not being able to see Jordan. haha.
Your engagement session doesn’t have to be stuffy and perfect. It doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s. Every single one of my couples are different and unique and your engagement photos can be too! Let me know if you have any special ideas or locations you would like to incorporate into your engagement session and I’ll make the magic happen!
A Summer Wedding in New Castle Indiana
Weddings go one whether or not it rains or shines or is 110 degrees outside. One of the great things about looking back on your wedding photos is you won’t be able to tell how hot it was when looking at them! I packed my cooler full of ice water—a regular practice of mine when the weather is supposed to be very hot for wedding days. Both bride and groom are military though, so they weren’t phased :P
And the day turned out perfect despite the heat! Their venue, The Arts Park in New Castle, was actually perfect because its set down in a shady area that offered some relief from direction sunlight.
PS: If you or your partner (or both) are veterans or active duty, you quality for 20% off Military discount on Wedding Photography in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and all the other areas I serve. I photograph a lot of Military and First Responders so feel free to reach out!
