The McFarland Wedding at The Sycamore at Mallow Run

Let Love Grow

The Sycamore at Mallow Run in Bargersville, Indiana is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue. I absolutely love a rustic wedding venue and this one is one of my top favorites. The weather that day turned out to be beautiful but it is always great to have a wedding venue big enough to handle moving things inside if needed—especially in Indiana.

My clients are typically couples who want their day captured in a documentary wedding photography style that lets their day unfold naturally and these two were no exception. I had so much fun spending the day with these two and all of their friends and family. Their little flower girl was so funny and totally stole the show! haha

If you are looking for a southern Indianapolis Wedding Venue, I highly recommend The Sycamore at Mallow Run.

Fowler House Engagement Session in Lafayette, Indiana

Making History

The Folwer House Mansion was originally one of their top picks for wedding venues but didn’t work out, so we rented it for an hour on a weekday to do some fun engagement photos there! I love old houses so I was in absolute Heaven walking around this place and playing in all the nooks and crannies. Did you know that you could book out a venue for an engagement session? Most of the time, their off weekend / off season hourly rates are very affordable! Let me know if you have a venue in mind and I’ll reach out to their booking staff!

The Lochner Wedding in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Summer Love

The happiness that spread out from these two was impossible to not get swept up in. It was like a wave of laughter and smiles throughout the whole day. Through the quiet moments and the party, there was a cohesion of friendship that was held together these friends in happiness.

I love traveling up north for Fort Wayne Weddings and I go up that direction regularly so when I got an email from these two about planning their summer wedding at Don Hall’s Guesthouse, I was absolutely on board to document their wedding day. And I am so glad that I did. This group had so much fun and I am so glad that I got to be a part of it!

Cortney and Kaila's Engagement session in Lebanon, Indiana

Must love dogs…

Cortney warned me that they wanted to incorporate their dogs into a few photos for their engagement session and my only question was “can I pet them?!” haha. I love dogs so much. They are always so full of personality and really make a family all that more exciting!

It was a cold, drizzly day, but that did not stop us in the slightest! We adventured into the city and got some adorable shots of these two that they will treasure for many years to come!

I think the best part of my job is to give people that legacy—a memory—that they can always have through the years and hardships of life, they can always look back at these photos and remember just what made them fall in love in the first place! I love love ya’ll!

A Summer Anderson Museum of Art Wedding

Art imitates Love

Its a special treat when I get to photograph a wedding in my own backyard so when Kristin emailed me to tell me their venue was the Anderson Museum of Art, I got so excited. The Anderson Museum of Art is one of my favorite wedding venues in Anderson and Kristin had planned a day that was full of classic beauty at the same time as having the laid back feel of a backyard wedding.

We took about twenty minutes to explore the growing downtown Anderson area for some portraits and one of the local breweries (the couple’s favorites) even let us come inside and have a drink. It was so much fun to take them places that I’ve always wanted to photograph!
